Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo!
Let me start off by saying that this recipe is not healthy, but if you make it, you won't regret it. This pasta is has a rich taste, it's cheesy, and it's very flavorful. The chicken isn't bland, nor is the Alfredo sauce thin. My version of this pasta includes a little kick, but you will love it, and will definitely want to go back for seconds!
Prep Time: 5-7 minutes
Cook Time: 12-15 minutes
Ingredients:
8 oz Fettuccine
2 pieces of Chicken Breast or Cutlets
1 tsp of Granulated Onion
1 tsp of Granulated Garlic
a pinch of salt and pepper
4 tbsp of Butter
1 cup of Heavy Cream
1 cup of Parmesan Cheese
1/4-1/2 tsp of Chili Powder (based on your liking)
Steps:
1) Grab a big pot, fill it with water, and let that come up to a boil. Add the pasta, and then set it aside.
2) Sprinkle the granulated onion, granulated garlic, salt and pepper evenly on both sides of the chicken.
3) Add the butter to a medium sized sauté pan with high sides on medium heat. Let the butter melt down just a little bit.
4) Once the butter is melted, add the chicken and cook it completely. After it's cooked completely, put it on a separate plate to cut down to bite size pieces.
5) Next, add the heavy cream to the same pan you cooked the chicken it. You may see some brown bits and that's a good thing! It's all flavor! Those bits will enhance your sauce in the best way. Let the sauce reduce and thicken for about 5 minutes.
6) Once it's nicely thickened, add the parmesan cheese, the chili powder and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste if needed.
7) Add the pasta, the chicken, stir it all together, and you're done!
This recipe will definitely be a favorite and if you think that a Fettuccine Alfredo recipe could not get any better than you were wrong! It absolutely can!
