Restaurant Review #1 - BurgerIM
Hi! Long-time no see! I've recently asked several people on whether they would like to see restaurant reviews or healthy alternatives to get at restaurants and the winner was restaurant reviews! So, I want to begin with this burger joint that's recently become my new favorite.
I've heard so many great things about BurgerIM, so I thought, why not give it a try! I went with my brother right before peak dinner time which is 7:30 PM at the Shepherd Drive location, which is one of the many other sites they have in the city, so the restaurant and the parking lot were pretty empty. Walking in, I was mesmerized. The walls were covered in a graffiti design, and there were several TV's lined up against the wall as well as one next to the entrance displaying the menu. The server kindly introduced to us the variety of burger styles they construct and allowed us to take our time to order. He was very patient and showed a great attitude. He gave us recommendations and made sure we were satisfied with what we were choosing.
My brother and I ordered two different styles of burger meals. I ordered the Angus beef burger in a lettuce bun with the house sauce on the side while he got the dry-aged beef which consists of a beef patty with beef bacon and an onion ring inside it. Fries-wise, my brother got the classic BurgerIM fries, which are the size of chips while I got sweet potato fries. Along with that, we both split the Barbecue wings that they provide. This burger joint consists of serval styles of burgers, fries, wings, and milkshakes! Unfortunately, we didn't get a milkshake this time but we will next time. The price came out to approximately $30, which is reasonable for a burger joint. BurgerIM also provides salads, so if you are looking for a light meal, there is still a reason to go!
Oh, and for all my Muslim friends, who might be reading this, all their meat is halal! Isn't that great?
What I enjoyed about their menu was that everything was clear and diverse. You can easily alter a burger any way you want with patties ranging from Spanish beef to Falafel (I've never seen a falafel burger, so that was a new surprise to me) and you can see what's in each burger and what makes the burger so unique. Not to mention, BurgerIM carries smaller portions like trios and duos. On the contrary, though, they also have a family box which consists of 8 burgers, chicken wings, the burgerIM fries, and onion rings and a party box which includes 16 burgers with up to 4 different styles. All the burgers have the house sauce on them, but you can ask for it on the side as I did.
The service was pretty fast. It did take some time, but my brother and I didn't have to wait for an extended amount of time. Maybe 15-20 minutes max. The fries came with the burger first, and the wings came a few minutes later. Everything did not come out at once, and it was nice because it was all warm and freshly cooked. Also, let me add that all condiments are free except for ranch, which is an extra 79 cents.
From my perspective, the burgers were fantastic! They were juicy and flavorful, and with the house sauce, the burger hit the spot. The fries were crispy and well made, and the wings were great, as well. It was a bit too saucy for my liking, but with the ranch, it became finger-licking good. The TV's provided a good source of entertainment, and if I'm being honest, I wanted to order more because I enjoyed the food, but by the time we finished, a good amount of people had rushed in so we decided not to.
Overall, BurgerIM was sincerely excellent, and I will be going back! I'll link the menu down below if you want to give it a try!
